About Susan
Experience built around better extensions
Susan brings 16 years of residential design experience to extensions across Glasgow. Her work starts with how a household actually lives: where the morning light falls, how the kitchen connects to the garden, which routes through the home feel awkward and which spaces need to work harder.
She is particularly experienced in adapting extension ideas to Glasgow’s varied housing stock, from sandstone terraces and ground-floor tenements to post-war semis and detached villas. Susan balances proportion, daylight and character with the practical requirements of planning permission, structure, drainage and a buildable budget.
Rather than adding space for its own sake, Susan looks for the layout that creates the strongest improvement to the whole home. Her drawings give clients a clear basis for decisions, approvals and pricing, reducing avoidable design changes once work is under way.
